Witnessing our Transgender History: Boston

November 16, 2017 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Fenway Health
1340 Boylston St

Young Leaders Council of Fenway Health

Join the Young Leaders Council of Fenway Health to hear directly from longtime leaders of the Boston transgender community. Our speakers will tell stories of activism in our city and how they’ve experienced justice, growth and setbacks. You’ll learn how organizations like the Transgender Health Program at Fenway Health, TRANScend at AIDS Action Committee and BAGLY evolved to the place they are today, and you’ll hear about Rita Hester and the first TDoR, held in Boston, in November of 1998.

YLC SteerCo member and Northeastern doctoral candidate Jack Gronau will moderate this event and speakers will be announced over the next few weeks.

Please note that Fenway Health is mobility accessible and that all gender restrooms are available. This event will be on the 10th floor.

The YLC is an initiative of Fenway Health to empower emerging LGBT leaders in their 20s and 30s to shape their community’s future. We have fun, give back, and lead the way.
