We are not giving up DACA and TPS without a fight!
Centro Presente calls for action!

ATTENTION!! DUE TO THE WEATHER FORECAST FOR TODAY THE EVENT IS CHANGED! MOVED EARLIER TO 4:00 PM!

We are going to get out of the rain and take this inside straight to the leaders in the State House who can send a message to the Trump Regime!

We thanks our leaders on Beacon Hill for expressing their concern for immigrants and displeasure with the President’s actions regarding DACA. Now we encourage them to take action to support people protected under the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) and more than 185,000 undocumented immigrants who live in Massachusetts.

In particular there is the question of the thousands of families that will be affected by the anticipated termination of the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program as well as the many immigrants who will be adversely affected by state legislation filed by the Governor that will legalize racial profiling and provide more power to a federal immigration authority that the Governor is at the same time questioning. And this still is side-stepping the entire issue of the 11 million undocumented immigrants, the vast majority of whom are just as deserving of an opportunity as the 800,000 Dreamers.

WHERE: Massachusetts State House
WHEN: Wednesday, September 6, 4:00 P.M.

WE CANNOT REMAIN SILENT!
While immigration policy is an issue that ONLY Congress can finally fix, we can expect and DEMAND MORE of our local elected officials to SPEAK OUT and CHALLENGE the failure of the U.S. Congress to address the issue, the heartless and immoral implementation of a broken and unjust immigration system by the President and his operatives, and the complete failure of our media to facilitate an honest and comprehensive public discussion of the causes of immigration.
