Join us for an evening of poetry with performances by Margorie Agosín, Sara Rivera, and Urbano alumna, Eurcaris Jimenez as part of Urbano Encounters, a Retrospective celebrating Urbano’s 8 year anniversary.

Marjorie Agosín is a poet, human rights activist and literary critic. Her work is inspired by the theme of social justice, the pursuit of remembrance, and the memorialization of traumatic historical events both in the Americas and in Europe..

Sara Rivera is an interdisciplinary artist and writer from Albuquerque, New Mexico who shares a five year history with Urbano as a teaching artist. She’s led projects such as The New Literary City, The Portrait Gift, Searching Lines, and Intersections at Urbano

Eucaris Jimenez has been a participating artist at Urbano since 2013, working both as a youth artist and Fellow on projects such as Nomadic Civic Sculpture, Intersections, and Libertad Company.

This event is free and open to the public.
