“SOUL OF LATIN JAZZ” is a rare, theatrical performance of Afro-Latin jazz music and more with dance, poetry and visual art.
Featuring: Grammy-winning Cuban guitarist, singer and producer David Oquendo, Brazilian mestre de capoeira, dancer and musician Deraldo Ferreira, national-poetry slam winner Regie Gibson, best-selling author, poet and performer U-Meleni Mhala Adebo, Venezuelan violin extraordinaire Edilio Bermudez and Venezuelan cuatro virtuoso Carlos Capacho, the wonderful Eduardo Ortiz on bass, soulful Carlos de Leon (of Tito Puente, Tito Rodriguez and Machito Orchestras) on trumpet, superbly talented dancer Jonathan Burke, triple threat Sasi (Sandy) Marcelino, brilliant Hilary Noble on sax, flute and percussion, Brazilian seven-string guitarist (sete cordas) and singer Pedro Fonseca, and a powerful rhythm section anchored by the remarkable Latin and jazz music veteran Vicente Lebrón with Cornell Coley and Kenny Kozol!
