This year, the YWCA Stand Against Racism campaign is focused on Women of Color Leading Change. Because women, and especially women of color, are underrepresented in leadership positions throughout our society.
At our Stand Against Racism Community Forum on April 28 you can hear Tara Houska, an Ojibwe from Couchiching 1st Nations, and a leading voice among indigenous people. Tara is a Tribal Rights Attorney and Activist. She is involved in advocacy on a broad spectrum of issues facing indigenous communities with a focus on environmental justice, protection of sacred sites and institutional racism.
The Forum is FREE and Open to the Public.
Bring a “brown bag” lunch or purchase lunch from Say Cheese or Sabor Latina food trucks.
