We have been alerted that DHS/ICE are planning to roundup Cambodian community members for deportation on Thursday, October 3rd! Community members have received notices to check-in on October 3rd at detention centers across the country where they will face imminent detention and deportation. The systemic attacks enacted on the Cambodian and broader Southeast Asian community is nothing new, but have ramped up and become more aggressive under this current administration.
The Asian American Resource Workshop (AARW) and Asian Outreach Unit at Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS – AOU) are organizing a rally to demand a stop of the Cambodian roundups/raids!
Join us on this day to stand in solidarity for the Cambodian community against deportations, and to call on elected officials and legislators to take a public stance to support the Southeast Asian community!
