Take part in a chance to explore the experience of race and identity through the lens of healing artistic embodiment. This event is the third in a 3-part series of embodied dialogue, in collaboration with True Story Theater, as part of the Collective Liberation program at Shambhala Boston.

NOTE: This event is for all individuals, regardless of racial identification.

This is the first of two events geared toward a mixed race audience. We are holding a similar event for those who identify as people of color on January 13th and another for those who identify as white on January 20th. Check out all of our events to RSVP for one of those.

The mission of True Story Theater is to ’promote social healing through theater’. Here’s how TST describes the format they use called Playback Theater: “We perform and teach an embodied theatre of empathy, respect and creativity. Volunteers from the audience are helped to share what’s important in their lives. On the spot, actors then portray the heart of what they heard using music, movement, and dialogue.”
