#ItTakesRoots to #GrowThe Resistance

Days before May Day, on Saturday, April 29 hundreds of thousands of people from across the country took to the streets as part of the People’s Climate March (PCM) in Washington, DC, to send a message to President Trump, and continue to strengthen and build our movement. Boston also hosted an amazing PCM rally and teach-in. Alternatives for Community and Environment (ACE) is proud to be a part of a Boston People’s Climate Movement that includes labor unions, environmental groups, as well as faith, youth and community organizations.

This event is an opportunity to hear stories and see images from both DC and Boston events, build community, and learn about opportunities to take the energy and excitement #beyondthemoment.

We’ll have drinks and childcare, and ask participants to bring some food to share with others, potluck style.

We also ask those that participated in the 4/29 PCM in DC or Boston to bring their beautiful banners, signs and artwork at 5pm so we can create a gallery for all to admire and appreciate. If you want more details or can’t make the event but want to contribute your PCM banner or artwork contact [email protected]

For those groups that’d like to table at the event 5:30-6pm, contact [email protected]
