The United States has just launched air strikes in Syria. We will NOT be dragged into another war in the Middle East! War will not bring us “peace and harmony,” as Trump says. We’ve seen what the War on Terror has brought us for the past 16 years – more terrorists, more refugees, more dead children, women, families… War is good for politicians and for weapons manufacturers, but not for the rest of us and we know that! We must act NOW!
As we stand against US increased intervention in Syria, we must oppose all imperialist intervention, including that of Russia, Iran, and Hezbollah, who have kept the murderous Assad dictatorship in power for the past 6 years. It is outside intervention that has propped up the Assad regime, and we must oppose it to stand with the Syrian people, who demonstrated in the millions in 2011 against the dictatorship and have been bombed, displaced, and brutalized fighting for dignity and freedom. No to Assad, no to Trump. Support the Syrian struggle for freedom.
Meet at 5pm near Park and Tremont (by the Park Street red line station at the edge of Boston Common) for an EMERGENCY rally against the strikes in Syria! #NoWarOnSyria
