Do you feel as though the ground is shifting beneath your feet?

Does it seem as though the issues we are facing regionally, nationally and globally are unprecedented?

You are not alone. Many organizers and activists across the US are looking for imaginative approaches to the repressive and degrading politics of the new administration, while holding the undeniable reality that this administration is merely a byproduct of decades of neoliberal economic policy against the historical backdrop of white supremacy, colonization, and genocide.

How do we react strategically to the urgent concerns of the current political moment, while holding a broader movement building timeline in view?

How do we build cross-racial alliances at a time when geographic segregation and racist narratives undermine our sense of common cause?

How do we build collective power and shared leadership during a time when it is increasingly urgent to get progressives elected to local, regional, and national office?

Join us for a 3-part online training, Multiply & Mobilize, that encourages us to look back to go forward, exploring our rich movement history for strategies and stories that work.

*What you will get*

A framework for understanding this political moment, including historical analysis of how systems of white supremacy and capitalism reorganize themselves in response to movement wins, and a working definition of right-wing populist movements.

Definition and identification of the divide & conquer strategy, and stories from movement history of how organizers have worked cross-racially to resist divide and conquer tactics.

A toolbox for developing narratives and organizing strategies that effectively build cross-racial movements both locally and nationally.

Community support from activists and organizers who are similarly impacted by this movement moment, and are asking critical questions about how our strategies need to adapt and shift
Wisdom and stories from organizers and movement veterans.

*How the program works*

Each month we will host a 90 minute webinar on the Multiply & Mobilize theme, which will explore movement history through our losses and our wins, the reorganization of the state and the systems of white supremacy, patriarchy, and capitalism in response to movement building, and the strategies, narratives, and tactics that work to sustain movements and build the world we wish to see.

In partnership with these 90 minute webinars, participants will receive a packet of readings and resources that will help you prepare for and reflect on the webinars, as well as host local discussions around the content of the webinars.

Additionally, all participants will be added to a private Facebook group designed to encourage supported conversations amongst activists and organizers who are working on these issues in a variety of geographic, economic, and racial contexts. Each month we will host live Q&As to workshop questions related to specific campaigns and organizing methods.

We strongly encourage you to sign up with a buddy or a group of other folks you organize with, so that you can take these conversations offline and into your everyday organizing work.

Post-Webinar resources will include discussion guides for you to use in locally organized events.

“This is a time to develop political clarity, to learn from each other, to build unity. It’s a time to cultivate a culture of imagination and resistance. To build resilience. To become more and more able to listen deeply to people with whom we disagree, so we can hear the core of what drives them, offer bigger and more hopeful possibilities and win them to us.” -Aurora Levins Morales
