La Ruta Natural: an interactive performance installation

December 21, 2017 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
The Theater Offensive

Free performance — RSVP at the EventBrite link!

La ruta natural (The Natural Route) is an interactive performance installation that explores emotional wounds, guilt, frustrations and insecurities that plague the unconscious minds of queer people. This performance piece creates a space to make visible two worlds, two cultures, two spirits that inhabit us at the same time. When this duality limits our lives, gender, and sexuality, how do we set ourselves free?

Created by Colombian Artist Nelson Amezquita Cifuentes with guest artist, David Barkley (Ebony Three Arrows), in celebration of the Winter Solstice. Join us for this provocative installation, delicious food, and the sacred lighting of the fire to honor our ancestors by Mistress of Ceremony and pipe carrier of the Black Indian Inn, Maddu Huacuja.

Producer’s Note: The interactive performance installation contains sexually explicit material and full frontal nudity. Please be advised that this performance may not be appropriate for all audiences.

Free admission. Food will be served at the event, so RSVP is highly encouraged.
