Emancipation Initiative - Against Life Without Parole

Join the Emancipation Initiative (EI) for our first struggle session!

EI is committed to ending 21st century slavery: incarceration. EI is committed to taking on the toughest issues related to incarceration in Massachusetts because we need bold change: ending the sentence of life without parole and returning the right to vote to people incarcerated in Massachusetts prisons.

There are also some time sensitive issues that we will also be discussing:
1. Forthcoming restrictions on visits (Learn more: https://www.mass.gov/policy-advisory/upcoming-2018-visiting-procedure-changes)
2. Toxic water at Massachusetts prisons – Deeper Than Water
3. Current pending criminal justice reform legislation

Struggle sessions are EI’s organizing meetings against incarceration in Massachusetts and for the strong communities we want to see. All are welcome. We especially welcome formerly incarcerated individuals as well as any family members or people who have loved ones who are or were incarcerated.
