Fighting Fascism in India, a Personal Reflection

August 10, 2019 @ 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
encuentro 5
9A Hamilton Pl
MA 02108-4701

The encuentro5 community has the heartwarming opportunity to reflect on how we can challenge and overturn the international fascist movement. We’ll be welcoming back a frontline fighter, one of our own, Bittu (known to us as Kaveri). For the last decade, Bittu has been involved in grassroots organizing connecting questions of class, caste, gender, religion, regional autonomy, and the rights to housing, healthcare, and nutrition, in the context of workers and trans rights struggles and anti-fascist movement building in India. He is a member of Karnataka janashakti and WSS; he is also a member of Telanagana hijra intersex trans simiti.

This event assumes the format of a light dinner and informal conversation.
