“All Languages Welcomed Here” is Dell Marie Hamilton’s first solo exhibition which will include a solo performance, an artist talk as well as photo-based work and the debut of a new body of mixed-media work entitled “Punta: Pregunta” which references personal obsessions, the oceanic as well as a wide-range of source materials including Gray’s Anatomy, weather forecasts, and geographical maps.

About Dell Marie Hamilton
Dell Marie Hamilton is an interdisciplinary artist, writer and independent curator whose projects include artist talks, solo performances and collaborative work which has been presented to a wide variety of audiences in New York at Five Myles Gallery, Panoply Performance Lab, and MOCADA, as well as in the New England area at Hubweek, MIT, Boston University, Massachusetts College of Art & Design, the Museum of Fine Arts/Boston, the ICA/Boston, and the RISD Art Museum. Working across performance, video, installation, painting and photography, she uses the body to investigate the social and geopolitical constructions of memory, gender, history and citizenship. Dell has a B.A. in journalism from Northeastern University and received a merit scholarship to obtain her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University.

Her most recent curatorial project is “Nine Moments for Now” currently at the Cooper Gallery for African and African American Art at Harvard University (October 30, 2018 – January 21, 2019). “Nine Moments for Now” was organized in conjunction with the For Freedoms/50 States initiative a national effort to highlight the relationship between art, politics and civic discourse.
