On November 17-19 2017 we will bring together community members, organizers, academics, technologists, educators, artists, policy makers, and public servants for the inaugural Data for Black Lives conference at the MIT Media Lab. We hope to:
* Create a space where activists and data scientists can develop more meaningful relationships and collaborations
* Engage the most pressing racial justice issues and explore opportunities for future research and practice through real-time problem-solving and brainstorming
* Facilitate opportunities for activists to learn about new and relevant data tools that can scale their organizing work
* Develop a blueprint for the future of data science as it relates to racial justice work
