CRMC Hearings on National Grid’s proposed LNG liquefaction plant

November 14, 2017 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
One Capitol Hill

RI 02908

The Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council (CRMC), traditionally one of the state’s most powerful regulatory commissions, restricts coastal development when scientific evidence and public testimony demonstrate “likely” environmental harm.
WE NEED YOU! to come to the hearing, stand with NoLNGinPVD and help convice the council that a fracked gas liquefaction facility is not needed, should not be financed with rate payer money and does not belong in an environmentally compromised community of color less than 50 feet from the coastline. Filling the room with people opposing the project CAN and WILL influence the council. Please STAND WITH US!!
It is environmental racism.
It is toxic.
It is at risk to storm surges and increasingly frequent and dangerous weather related to climate change.
It is surrounded by other toxic, explosive infrastructure whose cumulative impacts and dangers have never been measured.
This will impact the bay, this will impact the air, this will impact the residents of Washington Park and South Providence. This will be paid for by the same communities it puts in danger. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

The meetings are being held across from the State House in the Department of Administration Cafeteria at One Capitol Hill Providence, RI 02908

A second hearing has already been scheduled for 11/28
same time. same location.
