Black Lives Matter Boston stands with Philando Castile’s family and all families who have lost loved ones to State sponsored murders. We invite the Black community to gather as a show of solidarity
The murder of Black people by the State continues. Police operate within and is protected by a White supremacist and racist system that gives license to kill Black people with impunity.
We must stand against the genocidal impulse of the policing systems. We will continue to affirm Black humanity and Black liberation at every turn.
On Monday we will gather as a Black community to mourn, grieve, and honor Philando Castile and his family. We honor all other Black people murdered by police. We will hold space for healing in multiple modes of expressions (bring your words, your art, your full self). Come let us, collectively lament and decry the unjust killings of Black people. And, Let us re-member and give thanks and gratitude for their Black Lives. We will continue to stand and to fight; we will continue to struggle together as a Black community because Black humanity is sacred and it is the duty of love. This gathering is for Black folks only. We extend our hearts and hands to you beloveds.
