Congress plays Santa Claus to multi-billion dollar companies like Apple while the rest of us get a lump of coal in our stockings.
Senator McConnell and Speaker of the House Ryan are pushing an unpopular and dangerous tax bill through Congress. If passed this bill will not only yield huge tax benefits to high rollers and giant corporations like Apple. In doing so it will drain critical funds from Medicaid, education, housing, food programs and even Medicare.

Apple Store • 815 Boylston Street, Boston (Copley or Auditorium on the Green Line)
Over recent years Apple has skipped out on paying tens of billions of dollars in taxes on the $236 billion in profits it parks offshore (New York Times, 11/6/17). Other multi-billion dollar companies have paid little or no taxes at all. But the new tax bill will hand them billions more.
There’s still time to take a “Byte” out of the Apple
And to light a fire under Congress.
We say to Apple:
Pay your taxes
We say to Senator McConnell, Speaker Ryan, and President Trump:
No more tax breaks for the 1% and tax cheaters like Apple
The rally will be immediately followed by the Regional Convening of Not One Penny, a national movement to block the Trump/Ryan/McConnell tax bill, with a keynote address by Rep. Katherine Clark. We will march to a church in the Copley Square area and join that meeting from 11:15 am to 5:00 pm. Details: http://masspeaceaction.org/event/not-one-penny-boston/
