AAWA, CSA, and HVA will be hosting a workshop on fighting anti-Black racism in our communities. The workshop will be conducted by the Asian American Resource Workshop in Boston as part of their Sticky Rice Project, which is a series of anti-oppression trainings they conduct specifically for the Asian-American community.
Words could never do justice to how important this issue is—and how important it is for all of us to be critically asking ourselves in what ways we’re complicit in producing and reproducing the anti-Black racism that exists in both ourselves and our communities. Though one workshop certainly won’t be the final answer, we hope this workshop might help all of us to begin and/or continue the work we’ve been doing to fight anti-Black racism in our communities. All genders and identities welcome, as are all levels of knowledge! The workshop will be made accessible to everyone, regardless of where you currently are.
