When we get engaged in social change as individuals we are excited and put our voice, time and resources into it. After a while we realize that to create real change we need organizations. We become participants, take on more and more responsibility to build the organization, and eventually become its leaders.
As directors we realize that there are all these problems though: staffing, infrastructure, fundraising, etc. Problems that we did not understand as participants and it is overwhelming. We continue directing and improving ourselves and our staff to deal with these issues only to realize that its just not enough. It is actually the organizational and structure (aka design) that must change. This workshop is for Directors thinking about improving this design and creating a better culture at their workplace.
This training is exclusively for people who are directing organizations, preparing to direct, or have directed them in the past.
